Preserving the Legacy


A century ago Frederick Law Olmsted Sr. gave a magnificent gift to Atlanta, a gift to our environment and to our quality of life. We hope you will lend your support to preserve this legacy. Your contribution will enable the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance to complete the $4.8 million rehabilitation of the Springdale and Deepdene segments and to provide for the continuing care
of this landmark green space.

The generosity of our donors has enabled the Alliance to restore four of the six segments of the Linear Park. We thank the individuals, civic groups, corporations, foundations and government agencies that contributed to the earlier phases of the project.

Your support is needed now to complete the Olmsted Linear Park Master Plan, which was adopted by Atlanta, DeKalb County and Fernbank in 1997 and which guides the efforts of the Alliance. Your generous gift will enable OLPA to complete the rehabilitation project and to establish a fund to ensure the maintenance of the park for future generations.
